BENDIGO boxers Dino Rafaeles and Brad Morgan are set to gain valuable exposure to the lucrative Asian boxing market.

Rafaeles flew out to the Phillipines island province of Cebu on Wednesday for the start of a month-long adventure he hopes will sharpen his skills and further his development in the sport.

Once there, he will train and spar with Filipino boxer Marlon Tapales, who is preparing for a tilt at the WBO bantamweight title, held by Thai boxer Pungluang Sor Singyu.

The world title fight is scheduled for July 27 in Bangkok.

Rafaeles, who only turned professional last month, will spend much of his time training at the internationally renowned boxing gym of top Asian promoter-manager Rex ‘Wakee’ Salud.

The Phillipines buisnessman is a close confidante of legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, considered to be one of the greatest boxers of his time and the only boxer to win world titles in eight weight divisions.
