Two of the three judges saw the fight exactly the same when they favored defending WBC-WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr over Manny Pacquiao Saturday night at the Grand Garden Arena of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Connecticut’s Glenn Fieldman and Burt A. Clements of Nevada had identical eight to four rounds or 116-112 final outputs for Mayweather. Every round, their verdicts were exactly alike.
The third judge, Dave Moretti, the oldest among the ring officials at 70 years of age, had it 118-110 or he just gave Pacquiao two winning rounds – rounds 4 and 6.
Moretti’s 10s for Mayweather in rounds 9 and 10 were the only difference compare to his two co-judges.
AsianFightScene.com scored the fight a draw, 114-114. This website saw the Filipino winning in rounds 2, 4, 7, 9 and 10 same as Fieldman and Clements and then the 12th and final round. Mayweather bagged the rest of the rounds.
